Dancing Fairy

I wish the photos could give a better impression of the life and light in this painting. Many iridescent colors were layered in transparency, so the painting really 'glows'. The opalescent colors and textures remind me of a piece of abalone shell.

The beautiful embossed gold leaf details. After I painted the figure, I applied lines of thick gold leaf, the linework is actually raised dimensionally.
